For over a decade former NBA Spurs Dancer / NFL Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Cynthia Trinidad and her husband funded and provided opportunities for local San Antonio girls to continue dancing after high school and provided experience to those who had aspirations of auditioning for a professional sports dance squad. This program was in existence for thirteen years and, except for a few years, was free to any lady who dedicated themselves for a year making appearances and attending community and charity events along with performing for minor professional sports teams. Compensation for their dedication included free practice and workout facilities, photography, and uniforms, as well as many other items and services usually costing performers a substantial amount of money.
The most satisfaction came when Roses alumni utilized their experience to make other professional sports dance squads. It comes as no surprise that most of the dedicated members were the ones who made it to the pros.
Unfortunately over the years there have been many individuals who lost their dedication and caused unnecessary stress to the squad, staff and sponsors. Because of this, the time and personal cost to support this program does not justify continuing. If a professional sports team hires Roses Entertainment to create an exclusive dance squad, Roses Entertainment will consider having auditions for that organization. In any case, there will not be another San Antonio Roses squad going forward.
Roses Entertainment thanks all the alumni over the past thirteen years who made extra sacrifices to attend practices, appearances and performances. Those who finished their season learned that it took more than looking pretty and dancing to be a professional cheerleader. It took lots of dedication, discipline, commitment to the squad, time management and determination to make their dreams come true. Roses Entertainment is very proud of their alumni and encourages all alumni to keep them up-to-date with their life's successes and milestones.
