Roses Director Crowned Mrs. Petite United America 2011

Cynthia Trinidad, former NFL Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (1989), former NBA San Antonio Spurs dancer, director of the San Antonio Roses Independent pro-cheerleaders for the past thirteen years and the MPFL San Antonio Warrior Cheerleaders since 2007, was crowned Mrs. Petite United America 2011 at the Wyndham Garden hotel in Austin on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

Cynthia also won talent performing a jazz dance routine to the song "Black and Gold" from the 2009 "Fame" movie.

Cynthia represented the state of Texas at the pageant as the current Mrs. Petite Texas United America and only stands a mere 5'-0" tall. She is proud to represent all the petite married ladies of this great nation.

She's a 5th Dan Tae Kwon Do Black Belt instructor. Her platform is "Sanding up against Bullying" and she's passionate about this worthy cause, and will be making appearances and speaking engagements throughout her reign to promote this cause.

Former San Antonio Rose Tiffany Elizabeth Sanchez was chosen to be one of the 11 Scorpion Girls for the new San Antonio Scorpions Soccer team. They are not performers but are social ambassadors and will be making appearances around San Antonio and at the games.

First Cheerleader Calendar

The San Antonio Roses were featured in the 2010-2011 Warriors Cheerleader Calendar which was the first official pro/semi-pro cheerleader calendar ever released in the San Antonio area. The 11x17 calendar spanned from April 2010 to June 2011 and featured each lady in settings and outfits ranging from tropical swimsuit to Texas country.



Roses Director Contributes To Three Books

Former members of the San Antonio Roses, Valerie Garza and Tonya Tomnbay, and members of the Belles Performance Team from Colorado were selected to appear on the cover of Successful Semi Pro Spirit Teams. The book featured articles by current semi pro team owners and cheer directors including Cynthia Trinidad, Director of the San Antonio Roses.


Pro Cheerleader Diaries was another book that included entries from Cynthia Trinidad. Ever wondered what it's really like to tryout and make a pro cheerleading team? Want to know how it feels to cheer for the first time at a professional level game for thousands of fans? Maybe you've even dreamed of becoming a pro cheerleader yourself, but need some courage to overcome a few obstacles along the way. "The Pro Cheerleader Diaries," contained entries from actual current and former professional cheerleaders from around the world!


Cynthia Trinidad also contributed to Becoming a Pro Cheerleader. The book contained tryout tips from current and former pro cheerleaders and coaches!

Roses Make Move To Star Squad

After hours of auditioning at the Antioch Community Sports Complex on April 30, 2011 the San Antonio Roses are proud to announce that 2011 San Antonio Roses Cheerleader, Marissa has been chosen as a member of the 2011/2012 WNBA Silver Stars - Star Squad Performance Team.

In addition to Marissa, San Antonio Roses alumni Amanda, Rebecca and Mandy (a returning Star Squad veteran) will perform for the Star Squad in the 2011/2012 season.

Congratulations to all of you! You make us so proud.

An additional congratulations is in order for returning Star Squad veteran - Blake. She is the daughter of proud mother and 2000-2003 San Antonio Roses alumnus Brenda. Way to go!
